Australia's best network.
An inspirational leader on and off-field, Meghan McDonald has been a stalwart in defence since joining the Cats for their inaugural season in 2019.
A two-time All-Australian and 2019 Geelong Cats Best & Fairest winner, McDonald is strong in one-on-one contests, with her ability to read the play and head off opposition forward forays to rebound Geelong into attack.
In 2024, McDonald was able to nullify some of the competition's best forwards while still having an impact with ball in hand, most notably collecting 15 disposals and five intercept possessions in the Week 6b win over Sydney.
Holding the club's games record with 66 appearances heading into the 2025 season, McDonald will look to add to her tally and lead from the front once again after signing a one year contract extension at the end of 2024.
