Following an impressive breakout season in 2023, Guthrie continued his ascent last year with another sensational campaign. 


Averaging career high's in disposals, marks and rebound 50s, Guthrie also ranked seventh in the AFL for intercept possessions.


His terrific 2024 season was recognised internally, with Guthrie finishing second behind Max Holmes in the Carji Greeves Medal, his highest finish in the Cats best and fairest.


Near the end of the year, it was announced that Guthrie had signed a three year contract extension which will see him remain with Geelong until at least the end of 2028.
