Lowther on the importance of Saturday's game
You probably hit the nail on the head, every game is important and they all have a high priority on wins and losses.
It is no different to last week to be fair, I said early in the week around the risk of being cliche, but we are prepping for Port Adelaide. We are not looking too far ahead to see the what ifs around wins and losses, we need to make sure that we are best prepared to give us the best chance of being at our best against Port Adelaide.
They are in a similar position to us clearly with their wins and losses and the way they have been playing.
Don't get me wrong, it is not in the back of my mind as coach looking at the program around how we forward plan for things.
But for us to make sure that we stay in the moment and make sure we are best planned for now, is the most important piece for our group to be aware of.
Lowther on what they learned from Port Adelaide's win last week
They have been good at it for a while, but their pressure factor is through the roof.
They are hard and experienced, strong around contest and they can certainly create enough contests to win possession or fight to get it back. They did that really well against the Dees early, then the Dees got a bit of a run on and probably just ran out of time. Being contested from start to finish takes a lot out of you from a fatigue perspective.
They play a pretty fast and furious brand, similar to Richmond around their ball movement and speed of game. Combine that with hard hitting bodies and strong contested players, there is no surprise why they were around the mark last year, a great season for them.
It shows again, here we are at Round 6 and some teams just take a little bit longer to get their mojo. You can probably throw us into that bracket.
Lowther on Nina Morrison's recovery
She is going really well.
She had a corky late in the game against the Tigers, so she is recovering well.
All the swelling has gone down, so she is available to play this week which is good for us.
Lowther on Caitie Tipping's return from injury
I think we just need to give her a bit more time in practice, in the scrimmage games.
The temptation is there to get her in as quickly as possible, to support our tall stocks with Piper [Dunlop] doing a really good job in that space.
She has had a fairly long layoff, so she played about half an hour in the scrimmage last week and from all reports did really well. I have seen some of the vision, she used her size to her advantage but just to give her some more time to practice her craft.
She will play in the scrimmage this week with the rest of the crew, then we will keep making some decisions on her over the next few weeks.
We are wrapped to have her pretty close to availability which is great.
Lowther on team selection continuity
Winning helps with that. The last couple of rounds we have obviously won, we think the formula and the playing group at the moment is gelling quite nicely.
It would be nice to get them some continuity with the wins as well. But that is the plan, to try and get some consistency around playing some of our younger players as well.
If there is a need to change for different reasons whether it be form or different strengths and skillsets, we will certainly look at that.
It is pretty well publicised that we are happy to throw the magnets around early days to try and get that right look, we will continue to do so if we need to.
