There are not many sights like it in Australian sport, but Geelong's White Out Game was a raging success on Friday night as GMHBA Stadium was transformed into a white cauldron in the victory over the Suns.

With fans decked out in their best white outfits and rally towels waving after every goal, it was a remarkable spectacle that had even the most traditional supporters involved.

It spurred the Cats on to a brilliant performance on Friday night, limiting the Suns to just eight goals and running away with a 45-point victory to entrench themselves in the top four.

The entire White Out initiative did not go unnoticed by the players, with Ollie Dempsey touching on how enjoyable the whole experience was.

"I loved it, that was so epic running out in front of that," Dempsey told Cats Media.

"It was honestly one of the coolest runouts I have had. I love it and it was a really great success.

"The towels were definitely a cool sight, I missed a few [goals] as well which hurts.

"But I loved it, the crowd was so good tonight and they have been super this year."

The Cats overcame a strong early challenge from the Suns to close out victory, their 10th consecutive win at GMHBA Stadium dating back to last year's White Out game.

Gold Coast were on top early and kicked three of the opening four goals, but Geelong then reeled off seven unanswered majors to take full control of the contest, finishing off the game professionally to record a 45-point win.

A positive to come from the match was George Stevens, who had some great moments in the third AFL game of his career, finishing with 11 disposals and four tackles in a solid display.

Stevens said it was an amazing experience to be a part of on Friday night, immersing himself in the initiative as the Cats stormed to a dominant win over the Suns.

"I like to get wrapped up in it," Stevens told Cats Media.

"For me, having limited opportunities at the level, I think every chance you get you have got to soak it up and make the most of it.

"To be honest, this is a pretty unbelievable experience.

"To get the fans waving those towels around and being in the kit, I think it creates a bit of excitement for the players as well.

"We get a little bit of an extra buzz from it, so hopefully they continue to do it and we will see what happens next year."
