Georgie Prespakis has continued her ascent up the leaderboard in the 2026 AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award, polling another perfect 10 votes in Geelong's win over Adelaide. 

The star midfielder continued her brilliant start to the year, collecting a game-high 32 disposals and nine clearances at Unley Oval, while also recording nine score involvements in a remarkable display. 

With another 10 votes in Round 5, Prespakis takes her tally to 32 votes for the season, now in a tie for fourth place on the overall leaderboard. 

Nina Morrison received seven votes from the coaches after another impressive outing, collecting 22 disposals, five clearances, two goal assists and seven score involvements against the Crows. 

Becky Webster received three votes after continuing her terrific first season as co-captain, collecting 16 disposals and five intercept possessions in the opening half alone, having a profound impact across half back. 

Chantel Emonson recorded her first votes of the season, playing a pivotal role and finishing with 20 disposals at 80% efficiency, along with five intercept possessions. 

Claudia Gunjaca rounded out the votes in Round 5, collecting a game-high eight intercept possessions, helping to repel numerous Adelaide attacks throughout the afternoon. 

The AFLW Coaches Association’s Champion Player Award is an award voted by the 18 coaching panels on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
