Geelong's AFLW team has continued their incredible form, recording a fourth consecutive victory after defeating Adelaide by 11 points at Unley Oval on Saturday. 

Fighting their way back after a slow start, the Cats took control of the contest in the second quarter and never looked back, buoyed by a strong defensive performance and some electric play from their spearhead forwards inside 50. 

Continuing her remarkable start to the season, Georgie Prespakis was dominant right throughout the afternoon and finished with 32 disposals, nine clearances and nine score involvements.

Becky Webster (20 disposals) provided plenty of run and carry off half back, Nina Morrison (22 disposals) had plenty of important touches through the middle of the ground, while Claudia Gunjaca (eight intercept possessions) was the leader in down back for the Cats. 

The two teams were locked in a defensive battle early, the Cats led the inside 50 count in the first term but could not make it count where it mattered most, only registering three behinds in the opening term and trailing by five points at quarter time. 

It took Geelong until the five-minute mark of the second quarter to kick their first goal, Chloe Scheer the one to break the drought, but their exceptional efforts at the other end of the ground meant that it was enough to snatch the lead back. 

It sparked a strong period for the Cats as they added another two goals before half time, extending their advantage to 15 points at the main break. 

Georgie Prespakis was a class above, finishing the opening half with 18 disposals and four clearances, while co-captain Becky Webster had no trouble finding the football, collecting 16 disposals and five intercept possessions. Chloe Scheer, Nina Morrison and Mikayla Bowen all registered four score involvements to lead the charge inside 50, while Claudia Gunjaca anchored Geelong's outstanding defensive performance. 

After goals proved hard to come by in the opening half, the game started to open up in the third term and Geelong were able to frequently hit the scoreboard, adding another four majors to extend their lead to 26 points at the final change. 

Jackie Parry landed the first blow in the last quarter to give the Cats an even stronger lead, the visitors doing an outstanding job of capitalising on their dominance around the ground. 

The Crows mounted a late surge with three unanswered goals, but Geelong had done the hard work early and it proved to be enough, as they closed out an 11-point victory at Unley Oval.
