Geelong returns home for another crucial clash in Round 19, as they prepare to do battle with St Kilda on Sunday afternoon.
With six games remaining in the home and away season, the Cats still remain in the top four despite falling to GWS last week but now sit in the middle of a logjam, with fourth down to eighth on the ladder all level on 11 wins.
The Saints have caused Geelong some headaches in recent times winning four of the last six clashes between the two sides, a trend the Cats will be looking to change this weekend.
Take a first look ahead to Sunday afternoon's important game at GMHBA Stadium, proudly presented by Villawood Properties.

Geelong Cats v St Kilda
GMHBA Stadium, Geelong
Sunday July 20th, 1.10pm (AEST)
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Geelong: Max Holmes
Anytime Geelong has needed to respond this year, Max Holmes has been one to deliver and he will be looking to bounce back from a relatively quiet afternoon against the Giants last week.
The young star has been electric at GMHBA Stadium in 2025, averaging 32.4 disposals and seven clearances per game across his last five appearances at the venue, amassing 36 possessions and 11 inside-50s in the most recent outing at home.
Holmes copped a close tag from Marcus Windhager in the Round 2 clash with the Saints, restricted to just one disposal in the opening term but he came alive from there finishing with 19 touches, four score involvements and five intercept possessions.
St Kilda: Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera
A big part of St Kilda's game plan is their ability to build attacking plays from half back, and no player is more important to that notion than Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera.
The young star ranks second in the competition for total disposals this year (fifth for average per game), while also sitting fourth in the AFL for rebound 50s, third for effective kicks and second at the Saints for score involvements.
He was particularly important against the Cats in Round 2 finishing with 29 disposals, eight intercept possessions and seven score involvements, a player that Geelong will need to be wary of on Sunday afternoon.
RECENT HISTORY - Geelong v St Kilda
The Saints have proven to be a bit of a bogey team for Geelong in recent history, winning the past two clashes and four of the last six between the two teams dating back to 2022.
It broke a dominant run for the Cats between 2011 and 2021, where they only lost one of 13 matches against St Kilda with five wins coming by 40 points or more.
A silver lining is that none of St Kilda's recent wins have come at GMHBA Stadium, with their last victory at the venue coming in Round 10 of the 1999 season.
