TWO Cats have been recognised by the All Australian selection panel and been named in the 40-man squad.

Tom Hawkins and Tom Stewart are in contention to take their place in the 2021 side which will be finalised later this week.

Hawkins produced another fine home-and-away season for the Cats playing all 22-games, culminating in 54 goals to finish second to Carlton's Harry McKay in the Coleman Medal.

The powerful key forward also did a fabulous job setting up his teammates with opportunities in front of goal when he wasn't kicking them himself ranked fifth in the AFL for score involvements.

At the other end of the ground Stewart had an equally impressive season for Geelong and is chasing a third All Australian team appearance following selection in 2018 and 2019.
