Morrison on reaching 75 AFLW games

It is pretty crazy to look back on my 18 year old self, seven or eight years ago now.

I feel like I have changed so much, the group, the program has changed so much. It is kind of hard to compare to back to 2019, with how much the whole set-up of AFLW has evolved.

But I feel like I have been able to grow and develop alongside the competition and the program, and all the staff here as well.

I feel like it has been a natural evolution of being involved in a program that is continually growing.

Morrison on the changes in 2026

It is probably a combination of both those things. Obviously we had some pretty significant change coming into this year, with coaching staff and off-field staff.

It is probably a combo of some of those program changes, then just being able to unleash a new level of my own personal development.

I have areas that I want to get better at, I feel like my contest work and inside stuff has been really strong this year.

Just continuing to find ways to get better in my game.

Morrison on Geelong's growth this season

I think there has been a lot of stuff.

Everyone's coaching style is going to be slightly different, but I think the way that we have been able to develop players has been a standout for me.

Mick is obviously a leader of that, but then our other assistant coaches and staff as well have been real drivers in our development plans, and what we are getting after week to week to make sure that everyone across our list is growing.

I think that is where the growth of our team has come from, is that we haven't got one or two players that have gotten better, it is the majority of the group that you can look at and say they are playing their best footy right now.

Morrison on the role of co-captain

I have been pretty fortunate to be honest, to come in at a time where other things around me seem to be humming as well.

It sort of makes that role a bit easier when I have got Becky to lean on too.

But then you have got staff and coaches that are playing their role to a tee as well, it means that you are not then having to take on those other loads and responsibilities.

It has been a nice year to come into, and to come into it alongside Becky, has been really supportive.Â
