The VFLW Finals are back on track, with Geelong set to face Essendon in the Preliminary Final at Windy Hill this Saturday.

The Cats and Bombers have had to wait three weeks for the chance to play off for a spot in the decider, after community sport was called off during the Victorian lockdown.

First bounce is set for 12pm AEST on Saturday, with the Cats hoping to carry on their good form from a stirring victory against Southern Saints in the First Semi-Final.

Crowds will not be permitted for the match, in line with current Victorian restrictions, while broadcast details are still to be finalised.

The Cats took the points when the two sides met during the home and away season, winning by 23 points in Round 10, but Essendon has had an impressive finals campaign, scoring an upset win over Casey and challenging undefeated Collingwood in the Second Semi Final.

The winner of the Preliminary Final will take on Collingwood in the VFLW Grand Final the following weekend.
