• If West Coast and Richmond win, Cats finish 5^th
• If West Coast win and Richmond lose, Cats finish 4^th
• If West Coast lose and Richmond win, Cats finish 4^th
• If West Coast lose and Richmond lose, Cats finish 3^rd

Geelong lose to Sydney

• If West Coast and Richmond win, Cats finish 5^th
• If West Coast win and Richmond lose, Cats finish 5^th
• If West Coast lose and Richmond win, Cats finish 4^th
• If West Coast lose and Richmond lose, Cats finish 4^th.

If Cats finish 3^rd:

Will play qualifying final against Brisbane (If Port def Collingwood, or Port and Brisbane lose) or Port Adelaide (If Port lose to Collingwood and Brisbane def Carlton). 

If Cats finish 4^th:

Will play qualifying final against Brisbane (If Port lose to Collingwood and Brisbane def Carlton) or Port Adelaide (If Port def Collingwood, or Port and Brisbane lose).

If Cats finish 5^th:

Will play elimination final against Collingwood, Western Bulldogs, Melbourne, Greater Western Sydney or St Kilda depending on other results.
