Assistant General Manager Football Brett Johnson has advised the Club that after over six years at the Cats he will depart to pursue new opportunities. 

Johnson started at the Club in June 2018 as Performance and Development Manager with the AFL program, leading and supporting the delivery of the high performance program, before taking on the role of Head of AFLW in September 2020 after the team’s first two seasons in the competition.  

The start of 2024 saw Johnson elevated to Assistant General Manager – Football working back across the men’s program while continuing to lead the W program with senior coach Dan Lowther. 

Geelong Cats Executive General Manager – Football Andrew Mackie said:
