Geelong Cats key forward Shannon Neale has signed a two-year contract extension, committing to the Club until at least the end of 2030.
Already contracted through to 2028, Neale has developed into one of the key focal points of the Cats forward line with his athleticism and contested marking.
Neale, who played his 50th AFL game in Round 5 against West Coast, has started 2026 strongly having booted 15 goals in the first seven rounds of the season, including a five goal haul in Round 1.
The 23-year-old has been a consistent performer, missing only one game since Round 16, 2024. His versatility has also been a feature of his game, demonstrated most recently by his support in the ruck on the weekend against Port Adelaide.
Neale was originally drafted to the Cats with pick 33 in the 2020 National Draft, the West Australian made his debut in Round 11 of the 2022 season against the Adelaide Crows at GMHBA Stadium.
“Shannon’s development has been great to watch and we’re excited by where he can take his game,” Cats Executive General Manager of Football Andrew Mackie said.
“His energy around the Club is infectious and matches what we see from him on the field. We’re looking forward to seeing him grow over the next four years.”
