Geelong headed into the 2025 player movement period targeting some experience and found one of the AFLW's best defenders, securing the services of Nicola Stevens in a trade with St Kilda.
Stevens started her career at Collingwood before spending time with Carlton and the Saints, playing 92 AFLW games through to the end of the 2025 season.
Along the journey, the experienced defender earned selection in the 2017 All-Australian team and won a Best and Fairest with the Magpies, solidifying her standing as one of the most reliable backs in the league.
Stevens will bolster Geelong's defence in her first season at Kardinia Park, while also set to bring valuable leadership both on and off the field.
