Geelong Cats can provide the following Deakin AFLW Health Update ahead of Round 2 of the 2026 AFLW Season.
The Cats will play their first home game of 2026 this Saturday 22 August, taking on St Kilda at GMHBA Stadium in a double-header alongside the men’s team.
Nicola Stevens will be a test for Saturday after being managed as a precaution last week due to knee swelling. Her availability will depend on how she progresses through training this week.Â
Renee Morgan will also be a test after spraining her ankle in Sunday’s VFLW win against the Tasmanian Devils. Renee will continue to be assessed this week before making a call on her availability.
Kate Kenny started running this week as she continues to show progress following pre-season surgery to address a stress fracture in her foot, while Alissa Brook (foot) has continued to take part in modified training as she works towards her return to play.
Two games, one ticket! The Cats’ AFLW and AFL teams are both in action at GMHBA Stadium this Saturday, 22 August.Â
Fill your evening with Cats footy, starting with the AFLW at 5pm against St Kilda, before the men take on Richmond at 7.45pm. Tickets available now at Ticketmaster!
