Geelong continued to strengthen their back line ahead of the 2026 AFLW season, signing delisted free agent Alissa Brook from Port Adelaide.Â
Brook is an impressive young defender from South Adelaide, with her AFLW journey starting in 2023 after she was selected by Port Adelaide with pick 25 in the Draft.
Described as an athletic prospect, Brook dominated at the AFLW Draft Combine and caught the eye of recruiters, particularly impressing in the vertical jump testing.
She featured in 10 games before being delisted by Port Adelaide at the end of the 2025 season, but at just 20 years of age and with plenty of speed and agility, Brook will be a welcome addition to Geelong's AFLW playing list for the 2026 season.Â

We pay our respects to Elders of the past, the present, and those that will lead their collective future. Kardinyu, in Wadawurrung language is the place of the morning sun, a place of deep cultural connection and significance, a meeting place since the beginning of time. We are honoured to walk with the Wadawurrung People, to listen, respect and talk together on our journey on Wadawurrung Country.
