Daniel Menzel
Missed the win over Carlton due to general soreness but is a good chance to be recalled for Friday night's blockbuster clash with the Sydney Swans at Simonds Stadium.

Steven Motlop
Missed the win over the Blues after being 'managed'. Cats coaching director Simon Lloyd explained the situation to the Geelong Advertiser on Saturday. “He did a big conditioning block of running [on Thursday] — the opportunity has presented itself where we can actually put the time and effort into him to get fit and healthy without the rigours of having to perform on the weekend.” Which seems to suggest Motlop is a good chance to take on the Swans.

Rhys Stanley
Was dropped back to the VFL after a poor performance against Adelaide in round 18. Performed well in the VFL Cats' narrow loss to the Northern Blues on Saturday afternoon, racking up 21 disposals, 34 hit-outs and two goals.

Aaron Black
Was an emergency for the AFL clash with Carlton but ended up playing in the VFL Cats' game against the Northern Blues. Put his hand up for a recall by kicking 3.2.

Zach Guthrie
Was the carryover emergency for the AFL team, so didn't end up playing at any level on the weekend.
