A host of Cats have been recognised in the Round 7 coaches' votes and a star duo has continued to ascend up the leaderboard, following Geelong's big win over Hawthorn. 

Co-captain Becky Webster led the way in the Cats' triumph last Thursday, receiving a game-high eight votes to take her season tally to 15. 

Webster was outstanding against the Hawks, finishing with 29 disposals at a remarkable 96% disposal efficiency, while also collecting a career-high 13 intercept possessions. 

Georgie Prespakis and Nina Morrison both received seven votes in Round 7, with Prespakis now moving into outright third position on the overall leaderboard, while Morrison has ascended into a share of ninth place. 

Continuing her brilliant year, Prespakis finished with a game-high 29 disposals against the Hawks, also adding seven clearances, 655 metres gained and six score involvements. 

Morrison was also terrific through the middle of the ground, amassing 24 possessions, six tackles and six score involvements to help lead the Cats to a sixth straight victory. 

Jackie Parry was awarded six votes after another three-goal haul, also collecting 16 disposals and adding two goal assists in a strong display in the forward half. 

Having now kicked 15 majors for the season, Parry has moved into a share of second position on the AFLW goalkicking leaderboard alongside Chloe Scheer. 

Aishling Moloney featured in the votes for the third time in four weeks, collecting 18 disposals and a goal against the Hawks, while also adding two goal assists and six inside 50s. 

Mikayla Bowen rounded out the votes for her 24 disposals and six score involvements on Thursday night, her fifth appearance in the votes in Geelong's last six games. 

The AFLW Coaches Association’s Champion Player Award is an award voted by the 18 coaching panels on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
