On behalf of the Geelong Cats Academy, we’re proud to welcome all players, coaches and families to the 2026 Academy Series.
The Academy Series provides an opportunity for young players from across our regions to come together, compete against strong opposition and experience football in an Academy environment.
This year’s series brings together 188 players from 66 clubs and 56 schools, representing the Barwon, Western District and Wimmera regions, as well as players who are currently boarding in Melbourne. We’re also particularly pleased to welcome players from Katherine in the Northern Territory, who have travelled south to spend time within the Geelong Cats Academy.
Each of our players has been identified through various programs across our Academy pathway and regional programs throughout the year, providing them with the opportunity to put their development into practice and challenge themselves against quality opposition.
A great deal of work has gone into preparing our players for this series. We thank our coaches and staff for the time, care and commitment they have given throughout the program to support the development of our young players, both on and off the field.
To our players, embrace the opportunity, challenge yourself, support your teammates and enjoy representing the Geelong Cats Academy.
To our families and supporters, thank you for the encouragement and commitment you continue to provide. Your support plays an important role in creating these opportunities for our young people.
