Geelong star Georgie Prespakis has recorded another strong finish in the 2026 AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award, securing third place after a dominant home-and-away season.

Prespakis polled 19 of a possible 20 votes in the final two rounds of the regular season, taking her season tally to 93 votes which was just nine behind eventual winner, Jasmine Garner.

The incredible Cat polled 39 of a possible 40 votes in Geelong's last four matches, polling in each of the Cats' 11 wins, with Round 1 the only game where she did not feature in the votes.

Nina Morrison also finished the year strongly to take her tally to 66 votes, finishing in outright seventh position on the overall leaderboard.

The Cats' co-captain matched Prespakis with 11 consecutive features in the votes, capping off a stunning regular season to finish with the second highest tally of any Geelong player.

Aishling Moloney (30 votes), Mikayla Bowen (29 votes) and Jackie Parry (26 votes) rounded out the top five for Geelong, while 13 different Cats players polled votes at some stage throughout the season.

The AFLCA AFLW Champion Player of the Year is an award voted by the AFLW Senior Coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort to an individual player in a season.
