Cockrem’s appointment has been endorsed by the Club’s Board and will commence this month.
Geelong Cats President Grant McCabe welcomed Cockrem’s appointment to the Board.
“We are delighted to welcome Lani to the Board,” McCabe said.
“Lani is a highly respected finance and governance professional whose experience and leadership working with boards, senior executives and member-based organisations will be a significant asset to our Club.
“Her strong understanding of risk, strategy and corporate governance, combined with her longstanding connection to the Club as a member, supporter and Foundation Board Director, means she will bring both professional expertise and a deep appreciation of what this Club means to our community.”
Cockrem said she was honoured to join the Board and contributing to the Club in this role.
“I am honoured to join the Geelong Football Club Board, representing a Club that has long been an important part of my life, and I am excited at the opportunity to support its continued development.”
