Stinear on his confidence in the team

I feel like when we talk as a group and your review the game, it is like our method and our system really works.

It is our ability to apply it and be consistent with it, that is our opportunity and our challenge. Even against North Melbourne in Round 1, there were some really good things that were happening for us, but then we would break down with our connection forward of centre and our ability to maintain possession.

I don't feel like there has been a game this year where you are like, well this is not going to work.

It is about refining this or getting that better, and when the opposition challenge you with different looks, it is how do we absorb that and continue to play our way.

I feel like as the season has gone on, we have continued to grow in confidence and belief in what we are doing. It has probably made us hungrier to then be able to execute it at a high level and more consistently.

Stinear on managing Evie Cowcher

Probably the last couple of weeks, there was just little niggles. Off the back of the weekend, there was a really minor calf.

It was to the point where we could have pushed through and played, but you are running a bit of a risk. She didn't play a lot of footy last year, out with injury, so it is just more of a management decision.

There is no need to push things at this stage and give her a few extra days to get right, then we will look to have her back in the side next week.

It gives a chance for Lexi to come back after missing through concussion, and hopefully keep a fair bit of stability in that back half.

Stinear on the dwindling injury list

Caitie Tipping has come back in, so she will be back doing some ruck work tomorrow in the scrimmage.

Emma Kilpatrick adds a lot to our backline, with her speed and her ability to play on quick forwards, but then give us some offensive drive as well.

She is a beautiful kick of the footy, so potentially a week or two weeks away for her. It is good, considering it was looking like the end of the season with her shoulder.

Her strength has improved so much that she has been able to do a fair bit of contact training now, and we have got good confidence in her ability to endure a full game.

Alissa Brook gives us good versatility, another key position player. We will probably look at her down back at the moment, but she could pinch-hit in the ruck. That might allow Chantal Mason to play a bit more forward, she has done a lot of our secondary ruck work which has been great for us.

Kate Kenny, hopefully not far away as well. It is a good position to be in, hopefully we keep staying healthy.

Stinear on Saturday's clash with GWS

The scoring in their matches has been really high.

When they get it on their terms, they are able to score and score really quickly. Their centre bounce work is pretty good, their stoppage work is pretty good.

They will give opportunities with their run and carry game, for us to be able to turn that over and challenge them. But if we are off in how we are playing, they will certainly threaten us as well.

It is going to be a good contest, they don't hold back, they attack the game.

I think if we can play our way but then also defend well, I think we will be in a good spot. But looking forward to the challenge.Â
