Marshall on what excites him most about Geelong

Obviously you hear a lot externally about how good the program is, they have been such a successful club.

I am looking forward to getting down there and getting to work with Mitch Edwards, who is such a promising young ruckman.

I am really looking forward to teaming up with him and hopefully, to be part of a successful team.

Marshall on the moment the trade was processed

I was playing golf out at Royal Melbourne.

I was all over the shop the first five holes, then got the message from Dave Trotter, my manager.

He said congratulations mate, you're a Cat.

It freed up the swing a little bit, then went on a pretty good run from there. It was awesome.

Marshall on who reached out

All of them, really.

Like you said, there are so many great players down there.

Even from the Geelong boys, I have been getting a few messages from them. I feel like part of the club already, so I will get down there next week and get to work.

Danger gave me a call yesterday out on the golf course, so I spoke to him.

A lot of other boys have flicked through messages as well.

Marshall on Geelong's new recruits

It is awesome.

Like I said before, they have got so many great players.

I am just really looking forward to getting into that environment.

To do it alongside Toby Greene and Jordan Ridley, it is going to be easier having a couple of other recruits coming in as well. I just can't wait.

Marshall on Chris Scott

I spoke to Chris a couple of times.

I don't know him really well yet, but I am keen to get to work with him.

He seems like a great coach and obviously has been so successful, over the past decade or so.

I had a couple of conversations, but just about the role and everything.
