Geelong is set to embark on their 2026 Finals campaign, with the Cats making three changes as they prepare to take on Carlton in a blockbuster Elimination Final at the MCG. 

In big news for the Cats, superstar midfielder Max Holmes has been named in the starting line-up, set to play his first game since the Round 19 clash with St Kilda. 

Mark Blicavs has been included following the announcement that the experienced Cat has signed on with the club until the end of 2027, while Oli Wiltshire will also make his return after missing Geelong's final game of the home-and-away season. 

Jack Martin, Sam De Koning and Jhye Clark make way for the returning trio, with all three players omitted. 

It is do or die for the Cats as they prepare for a massive Elimination Final at the MCG, set to do battle with Carlton in front of a packed crowd on Friday night. 

The winner will progress to a Semi Final and will face the loser of the Qualifying Final between Fremantle and Hawthorn, while the loser will be eliminated and their season will come to an end. 

It is set to be Geelong's 18th Finals appearance in the last 20 years, while also marking their 14th Finals series during Chris Scott's tenure as coach.

Geelong's Elimination Final against Carlton will be broadcast live and free on Channel 7, on Fox Footy and streamed through Kayo, ahead of the game commencing at 7.40pm AEST.
