Geelong's VFL team will be back in action on Friday night, giving Cats fans the chance to get their full footy fix this weekend.

Taking on the Box Hill Hawks at GMHBA Stadium, the match will commence at 7.05pm AEDT on Friday night, following on from Geelong's AFL clash with Adelaide on Thursday night.

Geelong Cats members will get FREE ENTRY to the match, simply show proof of your membership at the gate and head in to find your seat.

General public tickets will be available for $10 and can be purchased at the gate for Friday night's match.

Gates will open at 6.20pm AEDT prior to the opening bounce at 7.05pm, giving fans 45 minutes to get into the ground and get themselves set for a big clash with the Hawks.

It is set to be another blockbuster match under the bright lights at GMHBA Stadium, with the Cats looking to build on their performance in the season opener last week.

Behind stellar performances from the likes of Ollie Henry, George Stevens and Jed Bews, Geelong dismantled Essendon in a big 85 point victory last Friday night to commence their season.

There will be a mix of experience and youth, with players like Rhys Stanley and Jake Kolodjashnij lining up in Round 1 alongside new draftees like Hunter Holmes, Jesse Mellor and Nick Driscoll.
