Geelong's VFL program will have their first official hit-out in 2026 on Wednesday, set to take on Carlton at IKON Park in a practice match ahead of the AFL team's AAMI Community Series match.
The Cats have named seven AFL-listed players for their match against the Blues, the most notable name is premiership defender Jake Kolodjashnij as he works his way back from injury.
Three of Geelong's 2025 draftees will pull on the Hoops on Wednesday afternoon including Hunter Holmes, Jesse Mellor and Nick Driscoll.
Familiar Geelong VFL names are also set to feature at IKON Park including Dan Capiron, Jay Rantall and Marcus Herbert.
The practice match against Carlton will provide a chance for the VFL Cats to prepare for the upcoming season, with their opening game set to take place on the 20th of March at GMHBA Stadium against Essendon.
