Geelong Select Team for AAMI Community Series Clash
The Cats have selected their team for Wednesday's AAMI Community Series match against Carlton at IKON Park
Geelong has selected its team for Wednesday night's AAMI Community Series match against Carlton, welcoming back some big names for the final hit-out of the pre-season.
Among the inclusions are some of the Cats AFL Origin players with Patrick Dangerfield, Max Holmes, Tom Stewart and Lawson Humphries set to feature in the Hoops for the first time this year.
Jay Polkinghorne, Mitch Edwards and George Stevens will also play on Wednesday night after impressing in last week’s match simulation hit-out, while Mark Blicavs, Tanner Bruhn, Shaun Mannagh, Jack Martin and Zach Guthrie will return after missing Geelong's match simulation against Hawthorn.
The match will be Geelong's final tune-up of the pre-season before all eyes turn to the start of the 2026 AFL season, with the Cats set to take on the Gold Coast Suns in the Opening Round next Friday.

The match will be broadcast live on Kayo. Cats fans can sign up to a Digital Plus Membership to watch the AAMI Community Series, along with every game of every round of the AFL season live and ad-break free.
HEALTH UPDATE
Rhys Stanley, Jack Bowes and Oli Wiltshire will not play as they manage their pre-season loads.
In positive news for Cats fans, Jake Kolodjashnij is on track to play Carlton in the VFL this week as he gradually increases his football match play over the coming weeks.
Bailey Smith (calf)
Bailey reported low grade calf symptoms during training last Friday, his loading will be modified during training this week and we expect him to be available for Opening Round.
Gryan Miers (thumb)
Gryan sustained a thumb injury during last week’s intraclub match and has since undergone surgery. He will miss Wednesday's match against Carlton and will be a test for the Club’s Opening Round match against Gold Coast.
Jeremy Cameron (quad)
Jeremy is training well following a low-grade quad strain sustained in pre-season training. He won’t play against Carlton but remains on track to play against Gold Coast in Opening Round.
Jacob Molier (foot)
Jacob suffered a broken foot in last week's match sim against Hawthorn, he didn't require surgery, however the timeline at the moment is that he’ll be sidelined for the next few months.
Keighton Matofai-Forbes (foot)
Keighton is progressing well post foot surgery and is continuing a modified program across pre-season.
Toby Conway (foot and knee)
Toby is progressing well with his strength and has been on a modified program during pre-season.
Harley Barker (knee)
Harley is currently building his strength capacity as he progresses back towards running.
Defensive stalwart Jake Kolodjashnij is set to play his 200th AFL game on Friday night
