The Geelong Football Club is excited to launch the 2026 Women in Sport Breakfast, proudly presented by Perpetual Wealth.
This year's event is titled 'Paving the Media Landscape,' recognising the incredible impact of women in media and specifically focusing on Australian Rules Football.
Hosted by renowned journalist and presenter, Nat Edwards, the event will also feature the iconic football figures of Abbey Holmes and Sarah Jones.
Abbey Holmes was an AFLW premiership player with Adelaide before turning to a career in media from 2018 onwards, where she has worked with the Seven Network in their coverage of the AFL and AFLW.
Sarah Jones is a highly respected and popular TV host with over two decades of experience, while also being the first female to host an AFL match on television.
Jones has covered everything from cricket to the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, but it was her work in football that paved the way for women to follow and pursue a media career of their own.
Join us for an inspiring morning as we delve into the evolving sports media landscape and spotlight the women who are shaping it. Hear their stories, gain fresh insights and connect with a community of driven, like‑minded individuals.
