One of the most prestigious events on the Geelong Cats calendar, the 2025 Carji Greeves Medal will be held on Thursday, October 2, at the Palladium at Crown Melbourne. Tickets are now on sale for this unmissable night of celebration, recognition and reflection on the 2025 AFL season.

This annual event honours the standout performers of the season, headlined by the live vote count for the club’s highest individual honour – the Carji Greeves Medal.

Named after Edward ‘Carji’ Greeves, Geelong’s first Brownlow Medallist, the award is presented to the player adjudged the best and most consistent across the season, based on coaches’ votes from every match.

Last year, Max Holmes etched his name into Geelong history, collecting his first ‘Carji’ with an impressive 164 votes. Zach Guthrie (120 votes) and Jeremy Cameron (118) rounded out the podium in second and third.

Holmes will be eyeing a place among club greats this year, hoping to become a dual medallist alongside the likes of Gary Ablett Jnr, Tom Stewart, Corey Enright, and Polly Farmer.

The 2025 race is shaping up to be a close one. Bailey Smith, in his first year in the Hoops, has impressed, averaging over 30 disposals and five clearances per game, while Coleman Medal leader Jeremy Cameron, Tom Atkins, Zach Guthrie and Gryan Miers have all pieced together strong seasons.
