Geelong Cats congratulate former CEO Brian Cook, who has been awarded Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours List for his service to business, to the community and to Australian rules football 

Cook was the appointed CEO of the Cats in 1999 and enjoyed a remarkable and successful 22-year tenure in Geelong, which included finals football in 16 of his 18 seasons and Premierships in 2007, 2009 and 2011. He was also instrumental in the redevelopment of GMHBA Stadium.

Cook has also contributed significantly to the broader Geelong community through leadership roles with organisations including Barwon Health and Deakin University and held roles with Give Where You Live, Active Geelong and Geelong Major Events Committee.

Now the current CEO of Carlton Football Club since 2021, Cook continues to impactfully serve the game and community.

The Order of Australia is an honour that recognises the outstanding achievements and service of individuals.
