Geelong Football Club is thrilled to announce an extended partnership with Marathon Food Industries.

This extension will now establish support towards the AFLW program, in addition to its ongoing backing of Geelong's AFL team after joining the Geelong Football Club sponsorship alignment at the start of 2024.

Marathon – Australia’s market-leading producer of fun snacking products including Dim Sims, Spring Rolls, and Puffy Dogs – will feature prominently on the sleeve of the Cats’ AFLW media polo for their upcoming 2024 season, as they have represented for the men’s.

Marathon’s great-tasting Asian-inspired products have been available to consumers throughout GMHBA Stadium this year and will continue to feature at Geelong Cats AFL and AFLW home games for the next three years.

Dim sims continue to be one of the highest selling items at Geelong matchdays at GMHBA Stadium. Marathon sold a total of 4,444 dim sims in the AFL Round 1 clash against St Kilda at GMHBA Stadium, with Cats fans keen to enjoy the new partnership and offerings.

Geelong Cats Chief Operating Officer Simon Kelleher welcomed the extension of the partnership to the AFLW program.

“Marathon has been a wonderful supporter of our men’s program this season, and we’re thrilled to see them now throw their support behind our AFLW team,” Kelleher said.

“Marathon’s dim sims are a quintessential part of the gameday experience at GMHBA Stadium for so many of our fans, and we’re looking forward to the partnership between our two organisations continuing to grow and thrive.”

Marathon was established in 1963 by Jack Dardalis, who handmade his first batches of Dim Sims and Spring Rolls in a West Footscray garage.

Sixty-one years on, Marathon continues to deliver on its purpose ‘to provide Australians with tasty and high-quality snack foods’ for Cats games in the AFL and AFLW seasons.
