Geelong's current first selection in the 2022 NAB AFLW draft will be pick 17, following the league's announcement of the indicative draft order today.

As clubs prepare to embark on a big Sign & Trade period with four expansion teams joining the league, the first round of the 2022 draft will hold a massive 36 picks.

Expansion clubs Sydney, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide and Essendon hold the first 13 picks, which cannot be traded. West Coast then comes into the draft with picks 14 and 15, followed by St Kilda and the Cats.

The Cats currently hold three picks in the draft - picks 17, 51 and 67.

The AFLW Sign & Trade Period runs 9am Tuesday, May 31, until 3pm Wednesday, June 8.
