A strong-marking key position player, Claudia Gunjaca switched the forward line for defence and proved a revelation in Season 7. After playing predominantly as a forward in her debut season earlier in 2022, Gunjaca returned to her original position of defence to help fill a need for the Cats in the second season, and made an immediate impact. Her ability to read the play and take a contested grab saw the 25-year-old play a key role in Geelong’s brilliant back five.
