Bews' 2025 season was unfortunately hampered by injury, playing four AFL games and making eight appearances at VFL level throughout the year.
The premiership defender performed strongly in his games at the top level, averaging 14 disposals, six marks and four rebound 50s per game while still locking down some of the competition's most dangerous forwards.
He was able to find the footy with ease in the VFL, averaging 23 disposals per game across his last four matches and even pushing forward to hit the scoreboard occasionally.
The Cats announced at the end of the year that Bews had re-signed with the club, which will see him remain in the blue and white Hoops until at least the end of 2026.

Geelong Football Club acknowledges Wadawurrung as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Land on which our club, our families and our communities work and play. We pay our respects to Elders of the past, the present, and those that will lead their collective future. Kardinyu, in Wadawurrung language is the place of the morning sun, a place of deep cultural connection and significance, a meeting place since the beginning of time. We are honoured to walk with the Wadawurrung People, to listen, respect and talk together on our journey on Wadawurrung Country.
