The Cats used their first-round draft pick in 2025 to select talented winger, Harley Barker from Mount Barker in South Australia.

Touted as one of the most damaging players in the draft class, Barker only fell down the draft order due to an injury he sustained during his top-aged junior campaign.

The young gun possesses plenty of skill and athleticism, described as an impact player who uses his endurance to influence both ends of the ground.

Barker averaged 16 disposals and a goal per game for South Australia prior to his injury, ultimately being named on a wing in the 2025 Under-18 All-Australian team.

Expected to miss the opening portion of the 2026 season, Barker will certainly be one to keep an eye on when he makes his return to football later in the year.
