Geelong Cats can provide the following GMHBA Health Update ahead of their Semi Final against Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Friday night.
Rhys Stanley will be a test for this week’s VFL Preliminary Final against Port Melbourne on Sunday.
James Worpel will miss the remainder of the 2026 season, with a decision made for the midfielder to undergo hamstring surgery this week. Ongoing monitoring suggested his injury was unlikely to progress sufficiently to allow him to play this season, and surgery provides the best option for Worpel to be available for an uninterrupted 2027 pre-season.
The Club is continuing to work through Jake Kolodjashnij’s availability for AFL and VFL Finals.
Toby Conway and Harley Barker remain listed as TBC as they continue to make progress on their return to play.Â
