Geelong return home for the penultimate week of the AFLW home-and-away season, facing another big challenge as they prepare to take on Fremantle at GMHBA Stadium.

Last week's victory over West Coast was the Cats' ninth in a row, now searching for a record-breaking 10th consecutive win on Saturday afternoon.

The match also carries extra significance heading into the post-season, with Geelong able to secure a spot in the top four with a victory over the Dockers.

It will be a stern test, however, against a Fremantle outfit gunning for a spot in the top eight, fresh off a hard-fought victory over St Kilda last weekend.

Take a look at all the details you need to know ahead of Geelong's big clash with the Dockers at GMHBA Stadium.

TEAM SELECTION

Geelong Cats v Fremantle

Round 11 •

GMHBA Stadium, Geelong • VIC

STATE OF PLAY

With two games remaining in the regular season, the Cats sit in second position on the ladder and are a game clear of Melbourne in third place.

This means that with two victories over the coming fortnight, Geelong can secure a top-two spot and host a Qualifying Final in the opening week of Finals.

One more win will be enough to lock away a spot in the top four, while two losses could see the Cats finish anywhere from second to seventh.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Chantel Emonson

Quietly going about her business in 2026, Chantel Emonson is building a terrific campaign across half back and has been a key contributor to Geelong's form this season.

Last week in Perth, the experienced defender was terrific and finished with an equal season-high 20 disposals, recording five score involvements and consistently setting up the Cats' ball movement through the middle of the ground.

Emonson has been remarkably consistent this year, averaging 15.6 disposals and 3.6 intercept possessions per game, achieving it all despite missing the entire 2025 season.

Fremantle have conceded the sixth-fewest total points of any team this year, so Emonson's drive and efficiency off half back will be key to generating attack opportunities for Geelong throughout the afternoon.
