GEELONG is delighted to announce the initial winners of our 70K Member Giveaway initiative to thank our members for helping us break our all-time membership record in 2021.

Earlier this week the Club contacted 30 members to let them know that they were ‘Danger Zone winners’ - a unique on field boundary viewing match day experience.

One of the Danger Zone winners is 43-year member David from Torquay.

David (pictured) started following the Club when he was a kid and recalls watching Fred Flanagan playing. He moved to Geelong for work and took little convincing to become a member.

The Club brings David much joy and he loves going to the football with his family, including five grandchildren who are all proud Geelong supporters too.

David has so many great memories, but his favourite was the 2007 Grand Final. He was friends with Frank Costa and loved seeing the good things he did for the club too.

Today, his favourite player to watch is Tom Hawkins.

When he reflects on his time as a supporter David says it’s the friendships he has formed supporting the Club that brings him the most joy and he is proud to be a Cats fan.

Congratulations to all of our winners so far.

There are still many great prizes to be won including a brand-new Ford Puma in the 70K Member Giveaway.
