The Cats have strengthened their midfield stocks, drafting Calder Cannons midfielder Zali Friswell with pick 7 in the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft on Tuesday night.

A good ball-user, the 165cm Friswell can play inside or outside mid, with her speed and agility also features of her game.

She is able to hit-up targets well, and represented Vic Metro at the Under 19 National Championships.

Friswell also lined up for Essendon’s VFLW team on seven occasions. She was among the Bombers’ best in the semi-final against Collingwood.
