GEELONG’S coaching group are set to have plenty of options when they come together to pick a side to play Fremantle on Thursday night.

Both Geelong’s AFL and VFL sides recorded victories on the weekend with multiple Cats doing their selection chances no harm with strong individual displays.

The Cats are expected to make at least two changes with skipper Joel Selwood and pressure forward Luke Dahlhaus set to return after being managed last week.

"Dahlhaus and Selwood are almost certain that they will play (but) the outs are a little bit harder to work out right at the moment," coach Chris Scott told media at his press conference on Tuesday.

"We have a plan, but it's always subject to how guys pull up and the circumstances of a particular week.

"In a five-day break, those things become even more important.

"We are in a position where we've got 26-28 guys we'd love to have in the team and not enough space.

"So there is a little bit of an onus on us to be a bit creative with that selection without destabilising the cohesion of the team."

Quinton Narkle is another who could come under consideration after being the unused medical substitute last round.

In addition to the trio above, here are some of the top performers from the Bendigo Bank Cats' win over Williamstown that could be considered.

Ben Jarvis

Best-on-ground for the VFL Cats after an eye-catching three-goal, 15 disposal and eight-mark performance against Williamstown. Jarvis has now kicked 16 goals this season and shapes as an alternative option should the Cats elect for a more mobile forward line structure in their matchup with the Dockers on Thursday night.

Nathan Kreuger

Was strong in the air with a number a strong defensive marks in his return to action after missing the Bankers win against the Bombers with an ankle injury. Finished with 17 disposals and seven marks.

Zach Guthrie

Continues to play at a high level in the reserves with another strong contribution for the Bankers across half back with 23 disposals and five marks.

Charlie Constable

Kicked the sealer in the final stages and was Geelong’s leading disposal winner with 30 touches to go with seven tackles and four clearances.

Jordan Clark

Looked lively and could be considered for the trip to his home state to take on the Dockers after a 21 disposal and one-goal game on the weekend.
