Cameron Guthrie was a standout performer in Geelong's narrow three-point victory against Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.

His efforts have been rewarded with a maximum 10 votes from coaches Chris Scott and Simon Goodwin.

Guthrie not only won plenty of possessions (24), but more importantly he used it well operating at 87.5% efficiency for the match.

The 27-year-old also pushed forward to kick a goal and finished with an equal team-high three clearances.

Brandan Parfitt's ferocious attack on the footy and man saw him collect four votes.

He did an excellent job applying plenty of pressure inside Geelong's attacking half and finished the game with nine tackles and a goal for his efforts.

Patrick Dangerfield, Joel Selwood and Mark Blicavs were the other Cats to feature in the votes.
