Club players and staff speak at WISE event

Deakin University and the Geelong Cats held the WISE event focusing on Women In Sport both on and off the field.

The webinar was hosted by Dr Dom Condo, Lecturer In Sports Nutrition at Deakin University and Dietician & Player Development Manager with the Geelong Cats and featured a panel of Natalie Saunders, Senior Lecturer at Deakin University, Cassie Lindsay, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the Geelong Cats, Monica Kelly, Women’s Physical Performance Coordinator and AFLW players Nina Morrison and Georgia Clarke.

Years 11 and 12 students from across the Geelong region were invited to listen and take part in the lunchtime session highlighting various roles for women in sport and the importance of pursuing dreams of working in the sporting industry!

Nina and Georgia provided valuable insights into the life of an AFLW player while working and also studying and answered questions from participants.

Be Kind Online
