Mitch Duncan features in this week's AFL Record.

FOOTY fans may miss the football this winter, but they won't be starved of their beloved AFL Record.

Crocmedia has announced that despite no matches at AFL grounds until at least May 31, a free edition of the AFL Record will be available online each week.

You will be able to find the AFL Record -presented by Karcher - on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App every week.

>> Here are the AFL Record Editor's notes for the week six edition

  • In this week's edition, we recount the remarkable military careers of former stars Hughie James (Richmond) and Joe Slater (Geelong) who both served during World War I. Slater was killed on the Western Front and is listed in an honour roll which includes every known VFL, SANFL and WAFL player and umpire who made the ultimate sacrifice.
  • It is 25 years since two greats of the game – Michael O'Loughlin and Jason Akermanis – made their AFL debuts. The Record reflects on two very different careers and characters.
  • Hawthorn's Isaac Smith continues his 'isolation diary' and reveals how he is coping as a husband, father and staying connected with the outside world.
  • Don't miss the Red Energy Footy Quiz, Answer Man with our stats experts and a flashback to the great individual performances of round six.
