Geelong midfielder Olivia Purcell has been named in the AFLW Round One Team of the Week.

Purcell was one of the Cats’ best performers in their round one loss to Fremantle on Sunday.

The 19-year-old finished the game with 27 disposals, five marks and four tackles to earn a place on the interchange.

Purcell was the sole Cat earn a spot.

The team is selected to mirror the All Australian side: five defenders, six midfielders (including a ruck), five forwards and five interchange players.
