Geelong Cats can provide the following Deakin AFLW Health Update ahead of its Round 4 game against Essendon on Sunday at GMHBA Stadium. 

The team returned from the Gold Coast on Monday afternoon, with Emma Kilpatrick (shoulder), Priya Bowering (foot) and Piper Dunlop (knee) undergoing further assessment on Tuesday after being unable to return to the field following their respective injuries. Results are expected over the next 24-48 hours as the Club determines the extent of each injury and expected time on the sidelines. 

Zali Friswell was assessed post game on Sunday and has subsequently entered the AFLW concussion protocol. 

Amy McDonald's return to play timeline has been updated to 5-7 weeks, with the midfielder continuing to progress through her recovery. 

Caitie Tipping will be sidelined for the next 3-6 weeks after sustaining an injury to her right knee during the Cats VFLW win over Port Melbourne on Saturday.

Renee Morgan (ankle) returned through the Cats' VFLW side on Saturday, while Kate Surman (ankle) was named as an emergency for the AFLW team. Both will be available for selection this week.
