Superstar on-baller Georgie Prespakis has backed up her remarkable nine-vote performance in Round 2 with a perfect 10 votes in Round 3, adjudged the best player on the ground by the coaches in Geelong's win over Gold Coast. 

Prespakis stuffed the stat sheet at People First Stadium, finishing with a team-high 33 disposals, nine tackles, eight clearances, six score involvements and eight intercept possessions. 

With 19 votes in the past two games, Prespakis has ascended to eighth position on the overall leaderboard, with the star Cat in brilliant form to start the 2026 campaign. 

Chloe Scheer received five votes from the coaches after playing a starring role inside forward 50, continuing her strong return to football after missing the past two seasons.

After the Cats trailed at the main break, Scheer kicked three goals in the second half and finished with a team-high eight score involvements, helping the Cats to secure an important win. 

Nina Morrison received another two votes for her tough display against the Suns, collecting 21 disposals, seven tackles, four clearances and a goal. 

Mikayla Bowen rounded out the votes and added to her season tally, finishing Sunday's match with 25 disposals, 11 tackles and seven score involvements. 

The AFLW Coaches Association’s Champion Player Award is an award voted by the 18 coaching panels on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
