Geelong Cats can provide the following Deakin AFLW Health Update ahead of Round 3 of the 2026 AFLW Season.

Amy McDonald will be sidelined for a portion of the season after sustaining a hamstring strain in Saturday’s win against St Kilda. Amy will undergo scans this week to determine her return to play timeline.

Renee Morgan remains a test this week as she continues to progress following an ankle sprain. She will be assessed across training this week before making a call on her availability this weekend. 
 
Kate Surman will also be a test after sustaining an ankle sprain in Saturday’s VFLW win over Carlton. She has showed positive signs to start the week, and will continue to be assessed in the lead up to Sunday.

The Cats head north this weekend to take on Gold Coast at People First Stadium, before returning to GMHBA Stadium in Round 4.
