Geelong superstar Georgie Prespakis has topped the coaches' votes in Round 2, receiving nine for her outstanding performance against St Kilda on Saturday.Â
The dominant on-baller collected a game-high 34 disposals, also finishing with 12 score involvements and seven intercept possessions in an influential display.Â
Nipping at Prespakis' heels was Jackie Parry, who received eight votes against the Saints after kicking six goals from her 13 disposals, a career-high haul for the brilliant forward.Â
Mikayla Bowen was awarded seven votes after collecting 27 disposals, 11 tackles and a goal in the big win over St Kilda, also recording nine score involvements and going at 96.3% disposal efficiency in a well-rounded display.Â
In her 75th AFLW game, Becky Webster received four coaches votes after amassing 30 disposals for the first time in her career, also generating a game-high 497 metres gained to spark Geelong's ball movement off half back.Â
Nina Morrison rounded out the votes in Round 2, collecting 27 disposals and seven score involvements in just her second game as Geelong's co-captain. Â
The AFLW Coaches Association’s Champion Player Award is an award voted by the 18 coaching panels on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
