Geelong has selected their team for Friday night's high-stakes clash, making two changes as they prepare to take on Melbourne at the MCG.

A pair of key Cats return after missing last week, with Tanner Bruhn and Mark Blicavs both added into the line-up to face the Demons.

Blicavs is set to add valuable depth to Geelong's ruck stocks with a big challenge looming against Max Gawn, while Bruhn will provide plenty of skill and speed to the Cats' team.

As announced earlier in the week, Max Holmes comes out of the team and will miss a period of time after sustaining an ankle injury against St Kilda, while Ollie Henry will be managed.

Friday night will also provide a fascinating battle in the coaches' box, with Chris Scott set to face former Geelong assistant coach, Steven King for the very first time.

Round 20 will be the first of a double-header at the MCG for Geelong, who will return to the hallowed turf next Thursday to take on Collingwood.
