Last week the Geelong Football Club recognised three incredible organisations; Fight Cancer Foundation, Community Care Chemist and Uncle Bobs Club, for their remarkable impact on the local community.
Representatives and volunteers from the organisation had the opportunity to attend Thursday's match against St Kilda, sitting in the specially designated GMHBA Community Bay.
The GMHBA Community Bay has been established to provide local community groups, families and individuals the opportunity to attend a Geelong Cats home game.
During Thursday's match, the organisations were also recognised at quarter time with an on-field introduction, along with a video explaining the fantastic work they do.

Fight Cancer Foundation
At Fight Cancer Foundation, our mission is simple but powerful: to make sure that no one fights cancer alone.
Fight Cancer Foundation provides accommodation and support for families affected by cancer, helping keep loved ones together during some of the hardest times in their lives.
When 8-month-old Audrey needed cancer treatment in Melbourne, her family travelled from Tasmania and were able to stay close by through this support – meaning her parents Lisa and Joel could remain by her side throughout her treatment journey.
Here in Geelong, that impact is also made possible through the Foundation’s local op shops and the incredible volunteers who help fund this vital work.

Community Care Chemist
Community Care Chemist is a pharmacy that’s part of the community, not just in it.

Uncle Bobs Club
Uncle Bobs Club (UBC) is a Victorian children's charity that has been supporting children's health since 1942.
For more than 84 years, UBC has proudly raised over $18 million to improve the lives of sick children and their families.
While many people know UBC for our long-standing support of the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal, we also fund vital children's health initiatives across Victoria through our "Local Giving for Local Health" program, supporting hospitals including Barwon Health.
Every dollar raised helps fund essential paediatric medical equipment, scholarships and fellowships for healthcare professionals, and programs that improve the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
With the support of more than 300 dedicated volunteers across Victoria, UBC continues its mission of ensuring children have access to the best possible healthcare, regardless of where they live.
One of our newest initiatives is Little Groovers Silent Disco, a sensory-friendly fundraising event designed specifically for neurodivergent children and their families. Inspired by the lived experience of parents navigating the challenges of finding inclusive community events, Little Groovers creates a safe, welcoming environment where children can dance, play and connect without the sensory overload often associated with traditional events. Funds raised will continue to support children's health while also promoting inclusion and belonging within our community.
